How did you become a furry? What introduced you to the fandom?So I learned about the furry fandom all the way back in about 2013-14ish. I was merely browsing around on reddit one day when a piece of wolf art randomly popped up on my feed. Unknown to me at the time, this was a commission of someone's fursona but I loved the way it looked and saved it onto my phone and had it as my background just because it looked cool. Reddit then began recommending me random subreddits and the r/furry was one that constantly popped up. I kept ignoring it cause I didn't really care for it, but glanced at the subreddit from time to time. That was, I guess, my first glance into the community.
As time grew on, I began getting more and more curious and started looking into what exactly a "furry" was. Upon doing research one night, I couldn't really come to a single conclusion on why people were furries. All the things I kept finding were the usual hateful topics like, "They want to ____ animals." or "They're another type of zoophile." My research accidently lead me to the wrong path and I ended up finding about the "after dark" side of the community. Murrsuits, NSFW art, E621, all of that. Myself being a minor at the time, I was initially put off with the ideas of furries. Of course, I knew that was (at least from what I thought) a small part of the community so while yes, it didn't make me feel comfortable, seeing the amount of hate surrounding the community, I felt bad and just considered myself an ally. Not necessarily being a part of the community, but just supporting them for what they did cause they didn't deserve it. No one does. So I kept the furry community in the back of my mind while focusing on other things in my life. Fast forward to 2020. One random night after work, I was wanting to hanging out with someone, I messaged around and the only person who responded was a friend whom you may know or have heard of, Klein. Now I've known Klein since middle school, but for us to hang out was rare so whenever we did get the chance, we'd just reconnect and talk. After our session at TopGolf, we decided to just go out for a drive and reconnect more, talk about our lives so to speak. It was during this drive during a conversation that Klein brought up the question on how I figured out I was Bisexual (read the below question if you want to know about that). After telling him the story, out of no where, he came out to me as also being a bisexual... which not only surprised me, but really made me happy knowing that one of my good friends had another personal connection. We talked about guys and and girls, and how we felt about them. Out of seemingly no where, he told me about how he recently joined the Furry Fandom. This sparked the questions I had about the community and so, me being curious, I asked him. Every question I asked, he explained in detail and it fully made me understand the community on a whole different level. After learning this new knowledge of information, I wanted to give it a try and join the fandom... I just didn't know where to start or what to do. Hell, I didn't even know what species I would be. I did more research as time went on, only this time I knew where to look. After a few sites and streams, I ended up deciding between three different species. A Sabretooth Tiger, a Wolf, or a Protogen. Eventually, after tinkering around with different premade reference sheets and sketching out the ideas on paper, wolf was the best option as unoriginal as it seemed. Thus, on March 10, 2022, Dezio finally made his debut and it was from then on when I "joined" the fandom. However, it may be surprising to hear that Dezio isn't actually my only Fursona, I actually own three, technically 4. I own, of course, Dezio Wolf, but I also own Osiris the Husky and Malakhai the Sabretooth Tiger. The fourth one is technically a spin off of Dezio but it's Stue the Protogen (Short for Stupid Bot lol). Who made your fursuit?
How/When did you find out you were Bi? Why not Pansexual?Everything changed when a close friend I had in the seventh grade flirted and hit on me, which I thought was a joke but still didn't take much notice of. One day while I was over at his house, he confessed that he was actually gay. He told me that as our friendship grew closer, he began to develop a crush on me which was why he started flirting with me to test the waters. He then asked me out and while I considered myself "straight," I just thought why not give it a try (after about a day or two of thinking it over). Little would I know, that single relationship was one of the best I've had and really, opened my eyes. During our relationship, I noticed that love is just love. It doesn't matter regardless of gender. The two of us hit it off as friends but had it branch out to a whole new experience that I thoroughly was happy with. Unfortunately, during this time was where being gay was more or less frowned upon, so we had to keep our relationship on the "down low."
After our relationship ended (which ended on mutual terms), I began to wonder if I actually was gay. I couldn't exactly figure out what my sexuality was. I still liked girls, but I liked guys as well. It wasn't until about a year after the relationship when I heard about the term, "Bisexuality." I discovered that there were more than just "being gay." There was an entire community filled with people with other sexualities. I finally figured out I was in fact "Bisexual" and it fit me pretty well. So that's how I figured out who I was. Now you may wonder, "Why do you consider yourself Bisexual? Why not Pansexual if you believe love is just love." There's a few personal reasons on why I don't consider myself Pansexual. While I won't go into full detail on why, I've just accepted myself as being a full bisexual. Sure Pansexuality is awesome but realistically, I do see myself as being partially pansexual. So really, I fit into both, but feel more comfortable being Bisexual as that's what I Identified myself as. It could change though, as with anything in life. How/When did you get into PC Gaming?Back in 2008 or 2009, I remember all I ever did was YouTube and browse the internet. What truly got me into PC gaming was Roblox and Minecraft (yeah... I know... call me one of those squeakers). I found out about the games through YouTube and had seen numerous people play them and wanted to give it a try. Seeing how Minecraft cost money and I wasn't able to get it at the time, I had to suffice with Roblox since it was sort of similar in that "blocky" nature. Eventually, I did end up getting Minecraft and played that game practically EVERY DAY. After playing Minecraft for years on end and meeting some online friends (whom I actually don't talk to anymore), they began introducing me to other games. One of which was Garry's Mod! Since then my PC Gaming life erupted unexpectedly to new experiences! I began meeting so many new people (which are actually most of the people you see in the videos/streams today) and branched out into so many other games from their recommendations as well as some of my own. From that point on, everything is history.
You Vape? When did you start? What mod you using? Why vape?I actually used to vape back in 2015, although, I only did it for about a little over a year. I did have to stop since my original mod broke and I wasn't able to afford a new one, or even fix the one I had. I did pickup vaping again around February of 2017. I managed to get a hold of a new mod and vaped for about six months until my lungs started to give out due my health at the time. So I ended up selling my mod to a close friend of mine and stopped until I picked it back up six months later. The first mod I actually don't remember the specific model or make of, but the second mod I owned had a Wismec RX 2/3 Box, Cloud Beast Tank, and (usually) a TFV8 coil. My third mod was a SMOK T-Priv kit with a Valrian Tank. I used the SMOK T-Priv box for three years but as of November of 2020, I ended up replacing it with a Vaporesso GEN S Box, the tank's still the same. As for juice, I usually stick to fruit flavored ones (preferably mixed berry flavored ones) or minty flavored ones. It does change from time to time but if you ask what juice I'm using during streams, I'll be glad to give you the flavor I'm rocking! :) Now why do I vape. Well I mainly vape because of anxiety reasons. I was bullied a lot during my middle school years and a few "friends" got me into smoking. Believe it or not, I actually enjoyed the sensation of it. It helped me find a sense of calmness and just numbed my mind to where I didn't have to worry about life, an escape if you will. When vaping became more popularized, I thought about switching to it, which I did. Not only was I able to get the god awful smell out of my clothes, I was able to do bigger clouds (which I think are COOL) and get to differentiate the flavors. It still has the same feeling of ease to it, helping with a lot of my anxiety attacks and stress I deal with on a daily basis. I may end up quitting if I can find other ways to ease myself, but for now, I enjoy vaping. :) |
